VTI has now collected approach data at 50 airports, capturing a wide range of real-world operating conditions. From changing seasons and weather to varying times of day, sun angles, runway dimensions, and marking conditions, this diversity is critical to developing robust vision-based autonomy systems.
But collecting more data is only part of the challenge. Knowing which data deserves attention is just as important.
As we scale our data collection efforts, we use system performance to automatically identify anomalous events and prioritize them for human labeling and review.
This performance-driven approach allows us to focus our labeling efforts on the most informative scenarios, continuously improving our models as we encounter new environments and challenging conditions.
More data. Smarter labeling. More robust autonomy.
